PA Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
Have you ever worried about what will happen to you if you need to move into long-term care such as a nursing home, personal care home or assisted living? Who would help you or your family? How do you know what your rights are under these circumstances?
Pennsylvania’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program works to resolve complaints and issues on behalf of individuals residing in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Ombudsmen empower residents by educating them on their rights under federal and state law and advocate for those who are unable to advocate for themselves. They also work to bring about change that improves care at the local, state, and national levels.
On October 22nd, our speaker will help provide you with information on this issue. After all, if we live long enough, we may all face this issue and need the Ombudsman’s assistance.
